I have honestly never seen storms in Charleston like the week of Nora’s senior portraits. It was absolute craziness! We had 80% or more chances of severe storms, hail, wind and tornadoes…every day for over a week. But, the catch was that Nora was ONLY in town for one week. So we HAD to make it work! The day of her portraits, the forecast changed no less than 10 times. The morning of, we made the decision to shoot at 2pm based on the hourly forecast (we originally planned for 6pm) and I sped up to Charleston as fast as I could. We had exactly one hour to capture her entire session before the skies opened up. You can SEE the black storm clouds rolling in the background of her beach photos!!! But guess what!? They ended up being BEAUTIFUL!!!

Nora was such a natural in front of the camera. It’s not every shoot that I walk away beaming with joy because of how kind my clients are…but Nora and her mom are so special. They were joyful, gracious and so flexible  in the midst of the craziness. The wind was WHIPPING on the beach because of the incoming weather…and Nora handled it like a champ! Her cute wind-blown bob looked so stunning!!! I have so many favorites despite all the elements working against us!!

Nora: Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your senior year!!! You are such a light and a joy. You are going to do AMAZING things your senior year and beyond!! Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!!!
