Lainee’s senior session in downtown Charleston was one of those shoots that felt SO meaningful from start to finish!!! Lainee lives here in Charleston and wanted to capture the essence of her favorite city which I loved so much. There is something extra special about photographing a senior in a place that has been such a big part of her story (AND the place she is going to college this fall!)

We explored Rainbow Row and even found a few little spots I had never photographed before, which is always such a fun surprise in a city I shoot in so often! Charleston was showing off for Lainee, and every corner felt like the perfect backdrop for her portraits. She was so sweet, so excited about her senior session, and truly just a joy to photograph.

After Rainbow Row, we headed to Hampton Park for sunset…and I am not exaggerating when I say we found the most EPIC hydrangea bush I have ever photographed!!! It was massive, fluffy and absolutely perfect for the soft sunset light. It gave us the dreamiest ending to her session and made the entire gallery feel so classic Charleston. Lainee is heading to College of Charleston in the fall, and her mom is also a CofC alum, which made this whole experience even more meaningful. What a sweet full-circle season for their family!
