Emma’s senior session was one of those shoots that had to pivot a little bit because of weather…but ended up being SO beautiful anyway!!! We originally had to reschedule earlier in the week because of rain, and when her session day finally arrived, Charleston gave us a cloudy, gray evening. But Emma’s cheerful personality made the entire shoot feel bright, joyful and so much fun from start to finish!

Emma lives locally here in Charleston…actually in the same neighborhood as my parents, which made this session feel extra sweet! She wanted to capture the city where she has grown up before heading into this next exciting season, so we photographed in downtown Charleston and then made our way out to Sullivan’s Island. Even with the cloudy weather, her outfits popped so beautifully against every backdrop. And I have to give a special shoutout to her Farm Rio dress because I literally went home and started shopping after her session!!! It was THAT good. Between her gorgeous style, her joyful energy and the meaning behind photographing in the place she calls home, this session was such a special one. It’s exactly why I love being a Charleston Senior Portrait Photographer…getting to tell the story of each senior in a way that feels personal to them is such an honor.
