Mia’s senior session in Charleston was such a sweet one!!! She is local to the area, and I actually photographed her older brother Chad’s senior portraits years ago…so getting to work with their family again for another milestone felt so special. I always love when families come back for a second senior session, and it is such an honor to be trusted again!

We spent the evening exploring all throughout downtown Charleston around Church Street and Broad Street, which gave us such a beautiful mix of classic Charleston backdrops. From the soft pink walls and checkerboard floors to cobblestone streets, blooming trees and iconic skyline views…this session had so much variety! Mia’s style was so fun to photograph, and I looooved the colors she chose.

Her white dress was so classic against the pink Charleston walls, and I loved the graduation look with her stole and cap. Then we got to play with a little more movement and color in her pink and purple dresses, and those downtown street images were some of my favorites. The hot pink dress with the church steeple in the background!? SO Charleston and so fun (!!!)

This session felt like the perfect mix of meaningful and beautiful: a local senior, a family I have photographed before, and some of the most classic Charleston locations all in one gallery.
