Kira’s sunrise senior session in downtown Charleston was SUCH a fun one!!! We started early with The Pink Figgy, and I loved her unique take on this setup. She paired the car with bright pink florals, shopping bags and the cutest high-contrast black and white dress…and it felt so fun, girly and editorial all at once. Such a cute way to make a familiar Charleston prop feel completely personal to her!
We explored around the Battery and found some new-to-me spots full of florals in bloom, which is always my favorite. Even after photographing downtown Charleston for years, I love that there are always new corners to discover! Kira had such a fun variety of outfits, and I looooved how much color she brought to the session. The blue tulle dress against the pink Charleston walls was SO pretty, and the brighter patterned looks gave the whole gallery so much personality.
Then we ended the morning at Hampton Park with the most beautiful sunrise light. The flowers, Spanish moss and soft glow were showing off for her (!!!) I especially loved the images in the yellow flowers because they felt so warm and happy. It was one of those mornings where the early wake-up call was 100% worth it.
Kira also incorporated some really sweet personal details: her childhood Mickey Mouse stuffed animal and a custom cap, gown and sash combination. I always love when seniors bring pieces that tell more of their story, and these made her graduation images feel extra fun and sentimental. Between The Pink Figgy, the florals, the custom grad details and all of her colorful outfits…this session had so much variety!
