On Tuesday you got to see a behind-the-scenes look into last weekend’s workshop…and today you get to see ALL the pretty!!! One of the best parts of each workshop experience is the styled shoot. I spent the entire first half of day one teaching the attendees all about shooting, posing, lighting, camera settings, detail styling and more. This styled shoot gives them the opportunity to put everything they’ve learned to work AND see me in action!!! We spend an entire FOUR hours at the shoot where I demonstrate how I function at a shoot…then set the attendees loose! Haha!! I put them in small groups of 3-4 attendees and they get to circulate between stations so that they have the most productive time photographing each individual piece. Then, we come together at the end to photograph everything as a group and it is so. much. FUN!!!

This go-around we hosted the styled shoot at the beautiful Riddick House at Stevenson Ridge in Fredericksburg, Virginia! I worked with an incredible team of vendors for this shoot (check them all out below!!) and we decided we wanted this shoot to be SPRING inspired. It’s still chilly here in Virginia, but we wanted attendees to have bright, fun images to add to their portfolios. And MAN was it gorgeous!!!

For each shoot, we include a bride and groom PLUS high school senior models! These are the two services that I offer within my business, and the two things I teach throughout the workshop. It’s always SO fun to see attendees practicing what they’ve learned, and sharing their images following the workshop!
