Kendal traveled all the way from Tennessee for her senior portraits in Charleston, and this session was SUCH a fun mix of classic Lowcountry scenery and bright, colorful personality!!! We spent the afternoon between Boone Hall and Hampton Park, and between the oak trees, Spanish moss, flowers and one very cute pink car…there was so much goodness packed into this gallery.

We started at Boone Hall, and I loved how timeless her white dress looked under the Avenue of Oaks. The soft neutral look against all of that greenery and hanging moss felt so classic Charleston! Then we added The Pink Figgy, which made everything instantly feel a little more playful. The pink car tucked underneath the huge oak trees was such a fun contrast, and then Kendal changed into the most AMAZING blue and pink floral dress with that huge bow in the back. I mean…COME ON!!! That dress was made for photos.

One thing you would NEVER know from looking at these images is that Kendal was not feeling her best the day of her session. She was such a trooper from beginning to end and completely powered through it. You would truly never be able to tell!!! She brought such a sweet energy to the entire shoot and made every outfit look effortless.

We finished the session at Hampton Park, where we got the prettiest golden light and another completely different look. Her bright pink dress was SO much fun against the greenery, flowers and Spanish moss. I loved that every outfit had its own personality: classic white, colorful florals, bold pink…so much variety while still keeping the gallery cohesive!

As a Charleston senior photographer, I love getting to show my out-of-town seniors so many different sides of the Lowcountry in one session. Boone Hall gives us those iconic oak trees and historic Charleston scenery, while Hampton Park brings in softer greenery, florals and that glowy evening light. Add in The Pink Figgy and a wardrobe this fun!? SUCH a good combination.
