When Kristen first mentioned to me that she may want to photograph her engagement session on a mountain, I knew it was going to be GOOD. But when I pulled up to Grandfather Mountain in NC last week, I was blown away. This mountain is known as the “most rugged mountain on the East Coast” and the views are unmatchable. To get to the place we were going to be photographing, I had to drive up the entire mountain with sheer cliffs on either side of the road. The closer I got to the peak, the more I realized that I really had no idea just HOW beautiful this engagement shoot was going to be!!!

Kristen is a creative business owner herself, so we have collaborated on multiple projects and been emailing back and forth for MONTHS (about more than just the wedding!!) When I finally got to hug her and Anthony in person, it felt like I was just reconnecting with old friends! Those are my favorite types of engagement shoots 🙂 But, what we DIDN’T know was that the mountain and park were closing an hour early that night, which gave us less than an hour to capture as much as we could! So, we got right to it and there are SO many favorites from the 45 mins of shooting we did at the mountain!!
