Olivia’s senior session was such a beautiful balance of all my favorite Charleston things: colorful downtown locations, flowers in bloom, golden light and the prettiest beach ending!!! We photographed at Rainbow Row, Hampton Park and then finished at the beach for sunset, which gave her gallery so much variety while still feeling soft, cohesive and true to her style.

We started downtown at Rainbow Row, which is always such a perfect choice for seniors who want that classic Charleston color. The pastel buildings gave us the cutest backdrop for Olivia’s outfits, and she had such beautiful style throughout the entire session! Every look felt polished, feminine and so fun to photograph. From there, we headed to Hampton Park, where the flowers were absolutely showing off. There were so many blooms throughout the park, and it gave us the dreamiest garden-inspired section of her gallery – this was one of the things that was most important to Olivia to capture!

Then we ended the evening at the beach right as the sun was setting…and it was SO good. Olivia wanted to capture the tall beach grass and dunes, but not necessarily be right on the sand for every image. I loved that vision so much because it gave us a chance to get a little creative with movement, texture and the beach breeze! The tall grass, soft light and wind created the prettiest coastal feel, and it was such a fun way to capture the beach without doing the more traditional “toes in the sand” portraits the whole time.

This session really was the perfect mix of Charleston charm and coastal beauty: Rainbow Row color, Hampton Park florals and golden-hour beach portraits with so much movement and personality. Olivia brought such beautiful outfits and such a sweet energy to the entire evening, and I loved watching all of these different pieces come together in her gallery.
