Just in case you weren’t around last week, I want to give you a recap! Each year, I share the BEST images I captured in three different categories: seniors, engagements and weddings. Earlier this month, I blogged my BEST OF SENIORS 2017 and last week I shared the BEST OF ENGAGEMENTS 2017. Today, it’s the grande finale of them all…the BEST OF WEDDINGS 2017!!

This post always contains the MOST images of any post of the entire year. This one has over 120!!! AH!! Scrolling through this post makes me so emotional and so thankful. Five years ago, I was 16 year old high school student with a big dream of being a wedding photographer. For a full year after that, I built my business…but was TERRIFIED of weddings. I was so intimidated by the responsibility of capturing someone’s most valuable memories. It took me almost two years to build up the courage to assist at a wedding…and now I just finished photographing my third full year of my own. Wow. What a blessing. God is so good!!!

This year I captured 15 weddings in Fredericksburg, Newport News, Staunton, Richmond, OBX, Northern Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Key West and more. I hosted 3 sold out workshops with styled shoots and worked with the most amazing clients and vendors to date. I don’t want to drag this post on because you have LOTS of scrolling to do…so here it is!!! The BEST of weddings images from the entire year of 2017!!

I kickstarted the year with a workshop in early May. I worked with amazing vendors like The Caroline Doll, Amanda Veronee, Bombshell Hair and Makeup, English Tea Paperie, Gourmand Bakery and more…it was a dream!!! You can see the entire shoot and rest of the vendor team HERE!

My first REAL wedding of the year was Katie and Ryan’s southern inspired wedding day at Glen Ellen Farm! Katie is a wedding planner and we have become even closer since her wedding day. It will always be at the top of my list of favorite wedding days of all time!!!

AH! This is one of my favorite bridal party images EVER!!! Libby and Mark‘s classic navy wedding was a dream come true. With a planner like Gina Harris and a venue like Morven Park…it was bound to be amazing from the very start!!

Ohhh Remy and Eli. I don’t have enough words to describe my love for these two!!! Remy is a past workshop alumni and sweet friend of mine. Capturing her wedding day in OBX was one of the biggest honors of my entire career as a photographer!!! SO many of their images are in this post!! So thankful to call these two friends.

Caroline and Costa‘s vintage Barbie inspired wedding at Quirk Hotel was unique and wonderful in so many ways!! Caroline is such a sweet friend and Quirk will always be one of my favorite venues.

Samantha and Patrick‘s wedding day was inspired my wildflowers. HUNDREDS of wildflowers…from her mom’s own garden!!! It was one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever seen and I LOVED it!!! These two are currently on a 9 month honeymoon across the GLOBE…and you can stalk their blog (like I do!!!) right HERE!

This was a Tuesday wedding…and it was amazing!!! Amanda and D’angelo tied the knot at Morais Vineyards and it was stunning! She is a photographer herself and it was SUCH a fun day with an incredible vendor team!

The Greenbrier was on my “shooting bucket list”…and these two allowed me to check it off!! Sarah and Ted had an incredible wedding day in West Virginia and these portraits are some of my all-time faves!

Another amazing workshop at Paisley and Jade in Richmond, VA!!! If you recognize the models as you continue to scroll…it’s because they are Remy and Eli!!! 🙂 This workshop was in August and was inspired by blue geodes…my creative team nailed it once again!!!

Kimberly and Marlon had such a sweet wedding day at the Jepson Center here in Fredericksburg! My second shooter, Jontell, actually captured this shot – and it’s one of my favorites from their reception!!! 🙂

I just love this bridal portrait!!! This classically southern wedding day in North Caroline was absolutely breathtaking. Kelly and Perry are such a beautiful couple!!! One of their images will be on the cover of my 2019 bridal guides!!! AH!

Allysa and Nathan got married on a toasty fall afternoon…but it was amazing!! My first fall wedding of the season!!!

These veil throws always get me!!! Melissa and John got married at their families private home nestled in the mountains. This post contains a lot of their photos, too!!!

Anne and Eric shared such a beautiful fall ceremony in Newport News. Her pink shoes were one of my favorite details!!!

These two are from Meagan and Justin‘s November wedding in downtown Fredericksburg. So many beautiful memories from this day!!!

Iris and Brett brought me all the way to Key West, Florida for their fall wedding…and it was a DREAM!! Iris is another photographer herself (I photographed so many photographer’s weddings this year!!!) and her bright, colorful wedding day was another favorite!!

Last, but definitely not least…this is image is from Annie and Paul’s wedding day at Shadow Creek!!! These two ended my year with gorgeous, elegant details and a ceremony centered around their love for Jesus. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to close out the year!
